55,000 sign up for PR1MA online

MORE than 55,000 people have registered online for the 1Malaysia People Housing Scheme (PR1MA), PR1MA chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias said yesterday.

The number of registrations reflects the needs which had been identified in the company’s market survey, he said.

“As expected, more than 53 per cent of registrants were from the key city centres.

“The number of registrations from Penang was also very high given that the prime minister had launched it there and allowed Penang residents the opportunity to register first.”

He added that the number of registered users was expected to increase after PR1MA’s launch campaign early next year.

He also assured users that the balloting would be fair and transparent.

“The balloting will be done manually and will be audited by external auditors,” he said.

PR1MA Registration Online for Nusantara PR1MA

So far, only applications for the Nusantara PR1MA development have been launched using the online registration system on Dec 13 and the closing date will be announced later.

Other developments in the works include PR1MA Penang, Seremban Utara, Seremban 2, Rasah and Senawang, some of which will be open for applications in the first half of next year and will be announced on the website, www.pr1ma.my.
