PR1MA registration for Precinct 11, Putrajaya
The PR1MA CEO Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias in the press conference has confirmed that the application for PR1MA affordable homes at Precinct 11 here are open for applications. A total of 560 PR1MA affordable homes comprises of 420 apartment units with a built up area of 815sq ft and 140 units, measuring 1,006sq ft each. The price for these units are at RM120,000 and RM150,000 respectively. These houses form the first phase of the recently launched 1Malaysia Housing Programme (PR1MA)
project.
To ensure that the objective of PR1MA is achievable some criteria needs to be full filled by all applicants as follows :
- Applicants should be Malaysian citizens aged 21 years and above.
- Applicants must live or work in Putrajaya
- Be registered voters in the Putrajaya constituency
- Applicants should not own more than one other home in Malaysia
- Gross household income of not more than RM6,000 a month
How To Apply / Booking?
For Precinct 111, Putrajaya project applications must be made online at www.pmo.gov.my or at special kiosks to be opened at several locations in Putrajaya, including Perbadanan Putrajaya information counter, Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing and Putrajaya Holdings Sales Gallery. The booking period which began on Sept 30, would end at midnight Oct 12.
Applicants would be selected via a balloting process on Oct 15 at Komplek Kejiranan in Presinct 11 here. For record, as at todate there were 470 applications for the apartments. Abdul Mutalib said the selection would be monitored by a credible accountancy firm which would also be responsible for the auditing to ensure a transparent process.

1Malaysia Housing Programme Corporation
1Malaysia Housing Programme Corporation is a corporation which will be set up to plan and coordinate projects under the 1Malaysia People’s Housing Scheme (PR1MA) throughout the nation. 1Malaysia Housing Programme Corporation will be placed under the Prime Minister’s Department. Amongst others, the corporation will responsible for distribution of houses under the projects to eligible recipients.
An Act governing the new corporation was being formulated and would be tabled in parliament in the next sitting. The Prime Minister quoted that “We foresee that this will give us a very good opportunity to develop the industry in a big way”.
“It is hoped that this special corporation will propel PR1MA programmes in line with the concept of ‘1Malaysia, People First, Performance Now. The new policy would provide a wider opportunity for Malaysians to own a house and assure them of a better future.
“I hope that all the projects identified under this programme can be implemented in a prompt manner because they are highly needed and are eagerly awaited by many,” he said.
Meanwhile, Economic Planning Unit director-general Datuk Noriyah Ahmad told a news conference that the corporation was expected to be set up early next year. Noriyah said that the registration to purchase houses under the PR1MA programme could only be done after the corporation had been set up.
